“Live Video” Hypnosis Session –

Overcoming anxiety when doing a live video presentation

Facebook Live

Over the past few years, live video has quickly become the preferred content delivery platform for successful entrepreneurs.

Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and other social media platforms released features supporting live video.

While the technology is easy to use, with Mobile Apps and desktop programs providing easy production, editing, and publishing capabilities not everyone was able to take advantage of these tools.

The human factor prevented many people from using the technology due to anxiety and fear.

You may have attempted, in the past, to do a Facebook Live and found that you were unable to “push the button”.

Or perhaps you did a live session but were disappointed or embarrassed by the result.

In many cases, when you point a camera at somebody, even if they’re the most confident, outgoing person in the world, they instantly become stressed, nervous and have difficulty talking.

These reactions are often based on what we call “irrational fears” … being afraid of something that does not, in any way, threaten us with physical harm.

These reactions come directly from the sub conscious mind and we have no control over them.

The fight of flight response kicks in, the hormones flood our body, and we instantly go into a hyper alert state. The heart rate spikes, blood pressure rises, the body will perspire, all within seconds of the triggering event.

A Facebook Challenge is a great way to get over the jitters as you can give and receive support from your colleagues. When the challenge is supported by a Hypnosis session, it makes it even more effective.

Your fears and anxieties about “going live” will be greatly diminished, or eliminated, following just one hour of hypnosis using Zoom.

The following may help you to calm the jitters, before a Facebook Live.

1. Prepare

Some people are natural “improv” artists and can talk for hours on a topic without stop.

However, Facebook Live is a place for planning, not improvisation.

Before doing a Facebook Live, create an outline in point form, to guide you during your session.

Include talking points, tips to share and topics of discussion.

Choose a theme and adopt a structure for the presentation.

2. Share

Select a topic that you are very knowledgeable about. Your presentation will be much more interesting if you deliver your content with confidence and passion.

You will find it much easier to give an opinion about something you’re knowledgeable about, rather than trying to make something up.

When doing a Facebook Live, invite friends to participate who know about the topic up for discussion. Ask them to comment on your presentation during the Live Video so you can interact with them and thank them for their participation.

Ask for questions and promise to respond to everyone who takes the time to comment.

Talking about topics which you know, will instill confidence that you can easily answer any questions or engage in discussion.

Focus on how you present the content as you are the expert and your audience is there to learn from you.

3. Relax

Everybody gets nervous, to some degree, when it comes to public speaking.

We have a natural, protective instinct, to avoid pain and criticism and avoid any situation that might cause us to be hurt.

Prior to your session, focus on what is going to go right, not what might go wrong.

Your audience will be very forgiving when things don’t go exactly as expected on a Facebook Live. If they have done one themselves, they will understand that life sometimes causes interruptions and embarrassing situations. If they have not done a Facebook Live themselves, they have likely watched others have those “moments”.

It is called “Facebook Live” as it is just that … a moment in time, without edits, that delivers a personal message to people directly. Interruptions, phones ringing, dogs barking, doorbell ringing, kids yelling, are all normal everyday occurrences .. just go with the flow and relax.

If something goes wrong, it won’t be the end of the world.

4. Enjoy

Just have fun!

You may have heard others say how much fun it is to do Facebook Live. If you relax and just go with the flow it can be very enjoyable as you are helping others and contributing to their learning.

As you show your enthusiasm for Facebook Live, your sessions will become more entertaining, and people will be attracted to your sessions and look forward to learning from you.

Prepare, Relax, Share, Enjoy!

What to expect from a Hypnosis Session for Facebook Live Anxiety

The goal of the hypnosis session is to modify the response you experience when faced with the prospect of doing a Facebook Live. Rather than a Fight or Flight response we will suggest confidence, excitement and an enjoyable experience.

Hypnosis is a natural state that we all experience daily without being aware of it.  Those moments of absent mindedness, day dreaming, visualization and just zoning out are all examples of what it feels like to be hypnotized.

You will remember everything from the session, there is no mystical or subliminal suggestions used, you will simply listen to my voice as I take you through a guided relaxation process and instruct you on how to modify the responses you feel.

You will feel more relaxed than you have ever achieved before.

The following will be included in our suggestions

  1. Increased confidence
  2. Reduced anxiety
  3. Stress elimination
  4. Enhanced self esteem
  5. Affirmations
  6. Self-hypnosis tip to reinforce the suggestions
